Unclassified Senate Meeting

Attendance: Jason O'Connor, Danny Kaiser, John Augusto, Angie Claussen, Paul Farran, Angie Loving, Thelma Simons, Rick Whitmore, Maxine Younes, Jeannette Johnson, Mark Nesbitt-Daly

President Jason O'Connor called the session to order.

• Jason reminded us that we were meeting today to cover two big issues that we did not have time to discuss at our December meeting.

• Unfinished Business:

  1. Survey Results

•  Paul Farran presented the top five issues from the survey that was conducted. He would like to have an email go out in the next couple of weeks let the unclassified staff view the results, see the top five issues that were selected and talk about how Unclassified Senate is going to address these issues.

•  Paul will send a draft of an email to be sent. Please send feedback to Jason O'Connor who will then send the email to all unclassified staff the week of January 22 nd .

2. Unclassified Senate By-Laws

•  Paul Farran and Rick Whitmore reviewed the by-laws and presented suggested changes to the Unclassified Senate. We discussed and determined changes that we view as important. This draft will be presented at Unclassified Senate in February. If it is approved it will then go to the entire unclassified staff for a vote.

3. New Business: none

Announcements: February 8 th we will be meeting at the KU Visitors Center (auditorium) at noon .

Having no further business, Paul Farran moved to adjourn and Angie Claussen seconded the motion. The meeting was adjourned at 1:30 p.m.
